- catholicism is a joke.
- Must be Sunday night and time to do the homework -- if you did your own research you would know the answer to this question.
- What you should know is that Martin Luther was a priest of the catholic church. He objected strongly to the pope selling Favors,(this was a method by which the church raised money by selling to rich citizens a direct passage to heaven)He M Luther was excommunicated by the catholic church. He then set up the Lutherian church.Various other protestant faiths grew from this.Known as the free churches. The catholic church was unable to stop this movement of people away from the traditional church
- In light of the millions of Protestants there are out there, spread out across inumerable different denominations, it is safe to say that, up to this point, the Catholic Church has, for the most part, not been very successful. That being said, however, consider some of the MP3 files from the EWTN television show "The Journey Home"... http://www.christiansreunited.com/ ...which consists of discussions with former Protestant ministers who became Catholics. In short, Protestantism is not showing any sign of re-uniting with the Catholic Church, but there are many individual Protestants who are returning to the Church.
- The Only Church That Christ Established Is The Catholic Church. "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved, but he that believeth not shall be condemned." [Mark 16:16].
